El Burrito Meatless SoySteak

El Burrito Soy Steak Recipe(4.2 oz steaks)

Remember Soy is already processed, you need not over cook.
Because it is made of Soy it will pick up most any flavoring, be imaginative, use your favorite seasonings.

SOYSTEAK may be cooked anyway you would cook a meat steak.
• Pan fry with onions and Worcestershire.
Heat skillet – 250 – 300º
Spray pan with veggie spray in non stick (Pam garlic flavor is great if you like garlic).
Add sliced onions ….. Add SOYSTEAK
Season as you would any beefsteak……
Worcestershire sauce is good … Garlic powder…
Fry for 3 minutes – then flip – another 2 – 3 minutes – your done.
If pan gets dry add 2 teaspoons water.
• Broil in your broiler.
• Grilled on the barbecue – 2 –3 minutes a side.
• Cut in strips
? stir fry with veggies and Teriyaki sauce.
? for a steak salad.
• Chicken fried steak.
Beat an egg, coat steak with egg mixture and then roll in flour,
season with salt and pepper to taste and fry.
Serve with your favorite gravy and whipped potatoes.
• Breakfast steak and Eggs.
• Steak sandwiches for lunch,
fried with onions and peppers ……Great cold or hot
• Fried and served with a ready made pasta sauce.

This recipe is for 1-1/2 lbs meat – our pack is 1/2 lb, so adjust accordingly.

1 pkg El Burrito soysteak
1/2 cup (actually less than) salad oil
1/4 cup liquid honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup finely chopped spanish onion
1 clove of garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp ginger
cut soysteak into long strips, across the grain . Combine remaining ingredients in large flat pan; add soysteak strips. Marinade strips for several hours. Lift strips out of Marinade;

Shake to remove excess. Thread strips on skewers. Place on grill: Broil oner medium heat just until browned, turning and brushing with marinade . Serve hot.
